What single piece of advice would you give an owner-manager contemplating private equity investment?

There are many different forms of private equity available to owner managers and whilst all bring capital, choosing the right partner to support you and who you can work with on the good days and the bad days is paramount. So just as we will perform due diligence on your business, you should diligence and reference us with the management teams we currently and previously worked with to ensure we are the right partner and fit for you.

What do you most enjoy about being an investor?

Undoubtedly its partnering and working closely with founders, management teams and entrepreneurs to assist them in growing and scaling their businesses both domestically and internationally. Whilst nothing is ever a straight line and there are ups and downs along the way, being part of that journey and inputting into the direction is hugely rewarding, educational and exciting.

What does life outside MML look like?

Life outside MML is centred on family, friends and sport, or some combo of each. Most weekends you will find me coaching/watching my kids play sport or on the golf course with friends. I love cooking (in particular BBQing) so enjoy having friends and family around for some good grub washed down with a glass of wine (or two!).
