MML Ireland invests in EisnerAmper Ireland

Investment will support strategic growth plans and develop its partner equity model.

EisnerAmper Ireland, the specialist accountancy and advisory firm with a focus on Financial Services, International Trade and Government, has announced an agreed investment from MML Growth Capital Partners Ireland Limited (“MML Ireland”).  The transaction will see MML Ireland become a minority shareholder in the firm which will continue to be majority owned and led by its existing partner group.

EisnerAmper Ireland is led by Executive Chair, Alastair MacDonald, and CEO, Attracta van Rensburg.  This investment accelerates the development and expansion of the firm’s Irish and international service and software solution offering.  It will also support the firm’s long term partner equity capital model.

The MML Ireland investment team included Neil McGowan, Partner and Co-Head of Investments, Shane Cooke, Investment Director, Muireann MacAuliffe, Investment Manager, and Emma Jones, Investment Associate.  The investment is being made from the MML Growth Capital Partners Ireland Fund II, which is supported by the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund and a number of international institutional investors.

Cian McCourt and Sinead McDonagh of Arthur Cox acted as legal advisors for EisnerAmper Ireland while Robert Dickson of Mason Hayes & Curran acted as legal adviser to MML Ireland.  Ron Somers, Ronan MacNioclais, Liadh Wrafter and Louise Quinlan from PwC provided financial, tax and structuring due diligence for MML Ireland, whilst Fairgrove Partners, led by Paddy Woods Ballard carried out a commercial review.  ESG and IT due diligence was provided by Sustainable Advantage and Fluid IT.   Corporate Finance advice to the shareholders of EisnerAmper Ireland was provided by Goodbody, led by Don Harrington.  Michael Ryan of Gara Ryan provided tax advice, and Tom Murray of Friel Stafford provided valuation services to EisnerAmper Ireland.
