The rebrand, Kyte Powertech management says, represents a significant step as the business prepares itself for the future of electrical transformer production.
It follows the acquisition in June 2020 of the Cavan-based business by MML Ireland, alongside local management. Having already endowed the plant with over €4.5 million in new cutting technology, robotic welding and state of the art winding machines this year, Kyte Powertech has ambitious plans for further growth.
The buyout also helped secure the future of 420 jobs.
The name Kyte Powertech is inspired by Benjamin Franklin’s discovery of the link between electricity and lightning and serves as a reminder for the company to keep innovating and pushing technology forward.
