The business

Agenda Communications is a leading provider of association and congress management services to European medical associations.

The deal

Agenda Communications was founded in 1987 with a track record of developing and growing its client associations. It provides a complete range of outsourced services for these societies underpinned by long term contracts. The business had grown significantly and management sought a partner to support them in acquiring the business from the retiring founder and shareholder and to assist them in providing additional value-added services to clients and to scale and expand the business. MML Ireland invested for a majority stake, facilitating the MBO and providing for the full buyout of the founder shareholder. The investment was structured to allow management to maximise their ownership of the business.

The exit

In 2021, MML Ireland exited the business to management.
